Information You Submit
Search Terms
A name, place, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Baltimore City Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s policy applies to data it receives.
Messages
If you email or send a contact message, the submitted address and message are kept as needed to respond. They are not shared outside the organization unless a valid legal requirement calls for disclosure.
Routine Technical Information
Like most websites, the service can receive basic details when a page loads. These details help maintain performance and understand general traffic.
- The network IP address used for the request
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages opened and time spent on them
- The referring website, when supplied
- Date and time information
Cookies
Cookies may be used to measure how visitors move through the site and to support site functions. Browser controls can block or remove cookies. Some parts of the site or partner tools may behave differently after cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
- Keep pages available and responsive
- Send search requests to the selected partner
- Measure which reference pages visitors use
- Find and correct technical faults
- Display advertising that may reflect visitor interests
Websites Beyond This One
Links lead to DPSCS, courts, release-record sources, federal locators, and third-party tools. Once a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy terms control its collection and use of data. Baltimore City Released Inmates does not set those rules.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and tailor ads. That processing happens on their systems, not as a local record kept by this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold as a contact list. Limited data may reach:
- Search partners that process a submitted query
- Analytics providers that measure use
- Advertising networks that serve or assess ads
- Law-enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Reasonable Security Measures
Standard safeguards are used to protect information under the site’s control. No internet service, device, or transfer method is completely secure, so a breach-proof guarantee cannot be made.
Adults Only
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone younger than 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request deletion.
Your Data Choices
Subject to applicable law and whether the site holds identifiable information, a user may ask to:
- Receive a copy of data associated with them
- Correct inaccurate information they supplied
- Delete information that is eligible for erasure
- Opt out of processing where that choice is available
Changes to This Notice
